Thousands of people took to the street in Madrid and Barcelona to demonstrate for and against the quest for the declaration of the independence of Catalonia.
According to Dailymail.co.uk in Barcelona, thousands of people dressed in white have gathered under the slogan 'Shall We Talk?' to deliver a message of peace to Spain's politicians.
Some of the protesters calling for dialogue also marched in Madrid, where tensions almost boiled over when a small group of people waving Spanish flags, apparently from the pro-union rally, began shouting at people at the pro-dialogue rally. Police quickly moved in to separate the two groups.
